In order to enhance our graduate students' awareness of career planning, improve their vocational skills, and cultivate a reserve force of teachers with advanced teaching concepts and solid teaching skills, School of Marxism successfully held the final round of teaching skills training and demonstration in secondary school for graduate students in 504 of Sanjiang Building on the afternoon of May 13rd. Dean Li Li, Deputy Director Shen Hui of the School Academic Staff Office, Vice President Li Honggang, and Mr. Wang Yong, a political science teacher of Zhenjiang middle school, were invited to be the judges, and graduate students of grade 20 and 21 were present to observe.
The 10 finalists were selected from five groups of contestants in the preliminary round. According to the lotsorder drawn in advance, they conducted a mock lecture about a specific content of the secondary school political textbookwithin8 minutes. The competition scored the contestants on the spot by evaluating their understanding of the textbook, teaching methods, teaching program designs, and other teaching skillslikebasicskills of a teacher, combined with elements such as Mandarin, media production abilities and board designs. The wonderful performance of the contestants fully revealed the excellent style of our graduate students and won the applause of the students.
Finally, the judges commented on the teaching designs, teaching processes, teaching methods and teaching effects of contestants. The teachers highly affirmed the performance of these contestants, pointed their strengths and weaknesses in a targeted manner, which indicated the direction for their future teaching skills improvement, and hoped that they could make further efforts to study the teaching materials, polish their teaching methods and strive to improve their overall qualities. After a fierce competition, Guo Lihua won the Grand Prize, Wang Danping, Dai Xinyu and Xu Chenying won the first prize, and other students won the second and third prizes respectively.
School of Marxism attaches great importance to the career planning and skill enhancement of graduate students, analyzes the "bottleneck" of students' employment from the terminal of graduate students' employment, and strives to break the "bottleneck" by conducting studies. This year, the Party Branch of School of Marxismtook "Party building, aiming at 'market access' to solve the contradiction of slow employment of postgraduates" as the secretary project, and made an effort to provide a communication platform for students to show themselves and enrich themselves, which helped students to recognize the direction of career development, understand the employment situation, practice their professional skills, establish a correct concept of career selection, improve employment quality, and lay a solid foundation for future employment.
