In order to strengthen the study style among graduate students and create a good academic atmosphere, Shen Chen, Director of the Research Department of the Party Committee of the university, investigated and guided the construction of graduate students' research ethics and academic style in the School of Marxismin the afternoon of April 18. Professor Zhou Haiyan, representative of graduate student supervisor, and Associate Professor Sun Xuhong, part-time counselor, participated in the meetingwhich was hosted by Pei Hongli.

At the meeting, Director Shen Chen took the case of violation of scientific ethics in universities as the starting point to warned the graduate students to resolutely resist academic misconduct. Director Shen listed the types of academic misconduct in universities, analyzed the causes of academic misconductand the negative effects of academic misconduct on the university and individuals,systematically explained the importance of complying with scientific ethics and academic norms to students in the aspect of theory, practice and values. Director Shen hoped that students would study the theoretical knowledge related to scientific ethics and academic norms, integrate academic ethics into the whole process of academic research, abide by academic integrity, improve academic personality, maintain academic dignity, remember the original mission of scientific research, and establish correct scientific values.

Through this meeting, students deeply realized the importance of observing scientific ethics and academic standards, and also expressed that they would strengthen self-education, uphold rigorous style, resolutely resist academic misconduct and maintain a good academic environment in their future studies and research.
